Mike Easton started in the insurance industry in St. Louis, MO. Working for Welsch, Flatness and Lutz, Inc., one of the most successful independent agents in the country. Mike was asked to focus on developing clients outside of WFL’s specialization of Construction Risks. In 1997 Mike placed his first PEO Workers Compensation program and helped found a start-up PEO who grew form 0 to over $2,000,000 in premium in the first year. This first program set a plan in motion to work with other entrepreneurs who could aggregate business insurance accounts into manageable blocks of business that were profitable for underwriters and clients, all while being affordable and valuable to insureds. He moved to back to his native Florida in 1999 and lead the Wachovia Insurance Services Bank-based insurance sales platform from an idea to one of the fastest growing agencies in the US. While at Wachovia, Mike developed programs for coastal property, casual dining restaurants, and healthcare.

After over 20 years of successful production and business development for the largest agencies in the US, Easton Insurance and Risk Management opened its doors in 2015. Since then, they've facilitated the success of PEOs, Staffing Firms, and Captive Reinsures along with establishing specialized retail insurance agencies who manage specialty risks. In 2018, they created Clearwater Partners, Inc. Clearwater Partners is a partnership with US, Canadian, and Bermuda Reinsurance Brokers focusing on excess reinsurance for casualty programs.
